Join us in the orangery at Hampton National Historic Site for an afternoon of traditional

African Oral Storytelling. Four talented storytellers from the Griots’ Circle of Maryland, a

affiliate of the National Association of Black Storytellers, will tell tales of Ananci the Spider,
Brer Rabbit and so much more. Be prepared to be an active participant while Griots

John Carrington, Janice Curtis Greene, J. Bernard Carson and Robert Smith

do "call and response" and make you stomp your feet and clap your hands with glee.

Bring the entire family for an hour of lessons to be learned, belly laughs and fun.

Admission and parking are free. Reservations will not be taken. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Wheelchair accessible.
