SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2018 @ NATIONAL GREAT BLACKS IN WAX MUSEUM – 2:30 –4:30 P.M. Join the National Great Blacks In Wax Museum, the Griots Circle of Maryland and the Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program for an African Oral Tradition “BRO”gram.

Transitioning from Earth to Glory as Maryland’s and Baltimore’s Official Griot as well as Co-Founder and Mother Griot of the National Association of Black Storytellers, Mama Mary embraced the Masai Warrior greeting “Kasserian Ingera” (and how are the children) as evidenced in her affiliations, her stories, her writings and her creation of THE GROWING GRIOTS.

Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program graduates, who continue to share in the African Oral Tradition, will be honored in this, our program’s tenth year. Our “BRO”gram will include the following “BRO”thers:  Baba Bunjo Butler, John “Kinderman” Taylor, Dr. David, Duane “Djembe” Hinton, Kendell and Karran, Mr. Rodney,  young brother Nile plus a special presentation by Next Generation of Wombwork Productions.
